EditIntroduction
Wi-Fi Graph is a Wi-Fi network measurement and charting utility that runs on Windows Mobile.
EditBackground
Wi-Fi Graph was started as a
toy project
and spawned into a research project (location-based research). After we left the college, we no longer continue the project.
Recently, friends of Kasuei wants us to revive the project, and so we are. It is one of the fundamental block for
Hitchhiker, and is our flagship product.
We want to rebuild Wi-Fi Graph as our flagship full-blown product, very robust and reliable. So it may takes us a little bit more time to achieve that. But don't worry, we will release a lots of alpha/beta builds once we start coding it.
EditCurrent Stage
We are currently in the planning phase for next version of Wi-Fi Graph. Followings are features that may or may not be implemented:
- Support 2 or more Wi-Fi adapters
- After ROM upgrade, our Dell Axim X51v reports inaccurate RSSI, therefore, we will use a 802.11g CompactFlash Wi-Fi adapter for our main testbed
- Probably, we will use only one of them, but user can select which adapter to use for measurement
- Support mobile Direct3D
- With the assistance of friends of Kasuei, we will use Direct3D instead of GDI+ for all graphical operation
- Captures GPS data and Wi-Fi data to log files
